Saints add leadership to R6 squad, signing Kira
The St. Clair Saints Varsity Rainbow Six Siege team has added some east coast talent with the signing of Nova Scotia’s Noah “Kira” Aalders.
Hailing from Fall River, Kira played in the Canadian Pro League this past spring as a member of Altiora. He brings additional competitive knowledge to an already seasoned team, with having the ability to know what it takes to make it as a top player.
While he had hoped to attend the college in person, Kira will look to make the most of this opportunity while studying Business Administration in Finance remotely.
“I can't wait to come to St. Clair to be able to further my education on top of playing on the Siege varsity team,” said Kira. “Being able to participate in the competitive scene I love, along with working with the varsity program and school staff is a huge plus for me.”
The signing of Kira marks the first player to be recruited by the varsity esports program outside of Ontario.
“Our goal the past three years has been to create an esports community at St. Clair with programs that would attract students from all over Ontario and beyond. This signing further cements St. Clair College as the destination college for esports in Canada,” said Varsity Esports Director Shaun Byrne.
