Weekly Recap Oct. 5–11

St. Clair knocks off Fanshawe in OPSE Regular Season opener
• Game 1: A strong game one saw the Saints dominate across the board with a team KDA of 26/12/52 and a 14k gold lead in a 36 minute win. Midlaner Eul had a clutch performance as Orianna going 10/5/9
• Game 2: Fanshawe bounces back going 31/19/58, evening the series 1-1 in a 39 minute win
• Game 3: A combined team effort leads the Saints to the win going 28/10/70. 1azy was strong on Ashe going 12/2/13 and Mianspho picked up 23 assists with Leona

Saints drop first game of the year to Akron, but push defending champs to the limit
Map 1: Facing off against the defending CR6 champions on Coastline, the Saints squad made it close in a back-and-forth match. Saints were able to keep it close, until Arkon was able to pull away for the 7-5 win. Kira came up big in the match with a game-high 17 frags
•Map 2: It was a different story for the Saints on Kafe. This time it was Domo breaking out with 14 kills in a 7-3 win
•Map 3: Akron learned from their mistakes and bounced back on Oregon, coming up with their own 7-3 win and taking the series
•Game 2: The Saints bounced back in a big way in their first game of FaceIt R6 Preseason with a stomp over the University of Buffalo in a quick 2-0 series win. Domo once again shined for the Saints coming up with 18 and 15 frags in back-to-back 7-1 map wins

Saints continue success in Tespa Collegiate Duos, qualifying again for Fall Invitational
• Lovell and Swiz qualified for the Tespa Collegiate Duos Fall Invitational after a 5-2 run, finishing 5th/6th out of 53 teams. The duo rattled off five-straight wins to start the tournament over the likes of Colorado State, Texas A&M and Ottawa
• Priestly and Sauce also found success for the second-consecutive week finishing tied for 8th with a 6-2 record. The pair found themselves in the Loser’s bracket early but fought back by defeating University of North Carolina and Ottawa
•Varsity’s newest recruits, Corious and Pressa, found two early wins knocking off Central Florida and Illinois State. Their first loss came to Pensacola State followed by a close matchup to San Joaquin Delta to end their run finishing in the Top 32

The squad stays busy going 5-1 across three leagues
Game 1: The Rocket League squad stayed hot in a 3-0 sweep over Arkansas State University in UCEA regular season play. Saints put up scores of 6-1, 8-2. and 7-0 in the win. Kamal put up 9 goals, Cuhriz potted 8 and Fusion ended with 4, including a beautiful double air dribble goal
• Game 2: In NACE regular season, the team faced off against former NACE champions and current CRL qualifier, Mizzou. It was tight games across the board, with each being decided by 2 goals or less. The Saints came out swinging early going up 2-0 with 2-1 and 3-1 wins. Mizzou battled back proving why they are one of the teams to beat, as they completed the reverse sweep with 2-0, 3-2 and 4-2 wins
• Game 3: It was a blowout in a 3-0 sweep over Spoon River College in the second game of the NACE doubleheader. The Saints put up scores of 8-0, 12-0 and 17-1
• Game 4: In UCEA, it was another sweep for the Saints over Aquinas College with scores of 10-0, 7-1 and 7-1. The Saints utilized balanced scoring across the board in the win
• Game 5: In our first game of PlayVS, we matched up against a tough Waterloo team, but came out with a 3-1 series win. The Saints went up 2-0 with 4-0 and 6-1 wins before Waterloo bounced back with a 3-2 win. The Saints closed out the series in Game 4, winning 3-2. Fusion put up 6, Cuhriz had 7 goals and Kamal came out with a goal and 8 assists in the series
• Game 6: In PlayVS we received a forfeit win over Florida Sate

Team finds first wins of the season in a 3-0 week
• Game 1: In Tespa Varsity, the trio of Zedi, Nitr8 and Günther found their first win as a team with a 3-2 victory over Georgie State University
• Game 2: In the OPSE regular season opener, the team continued their success vs York University in another 3-2 win. It was a back-and-forth series with the Saints finding wins with their Rogue, Demon Hunter and Druid decks over York’s Paladin and Priest.
Game 3: In the final game of the Tespa Open Split, we take a forfeit win over Cornell University in Tespa Open

Strong start in UCEA as Saints go 1-1 in tough matchups
• Game 1: In their first regular season UCEA match, The Saints found a 16-10 win over Florida State University. The Saints were up 10-5 going into the half, while Florida kept in close the Saints were able to pull away with the win. Zapper and Cookie each had 22 frags while Sherrzzay and MAwZ each had 20.
• Game 2: Saints had a first half lead, but couldn’t hold on in a 19-16 overtime loss to Humber. Zapper was once again leading the way with 35 frags. Cookie had 27 and Abyss picked up 21 kills in the loss.

Tough competition knocks back Saints to 1-2 on the week
• Game 1: The Saints started strong in the NACE matchup, building a 2-0 lead series lead over Michigan Tech. However, the momentum swung in MTU’s favor as they were able to battle back and win, 3-2, in a very close series
• Game 2: The Saints got back in the win column vs University of Illinois - Chicago in UCEA action as they took a 2-0 series win
• Game 3: Ontario Tech Esports stopped the Saints momentum in their NACE matchup, handing the team a 3-2 series loss

Trio finished 39th out of 129 teams in PlayVS Week 2
• The trio of Ciriuhs, Hoggy and JoMoJg were the highest ranking Canadian team for the second week in a row. They averaged 3.5 eliminations, and a placement of 11th in 7 games played
• The team’s best games include a 5th and 6th place finish
