2-0 weekend improves Saints to 6-1 on season
Game 1: 2-0 win over Saint Peter's University (Collegiate R6)
• Map 1: After a back-and-forth start to the match on Club House, The Saints pulled away with a 7-4 win. BigPapa, Kira and Rapid each contributed with 10 frags
•Map 2: The Saints dominated Kafe on route to a 7-1 win. Big Papa lead with 13 frags
Game 2: 2-0 win against Owens Community College (R6 Collegiate Championship)
•Map 1: Building on their momentum from the night before, it was more of the same from the Saints on Kafe as they took complete control in a 7-2 victory. Kira was clutch for the Saints picking up 10 kills
•Map 2: Heading to Villa, Saint Peter’s battled hard but it was enough as the Saints took over the round leading to a 7-3 win. Kira was once gain huge for the Saints with 11 frags. Rapid was close behind with 10 to go with 7 assists
Saints knock off Northeastern in Double OT, now 2-1 in UCEA
• First half: Saints came out strong on the T side of Nuke finishing the half up 11-4. Sherrzzayy was huge in the first half putting up 20 frags with Zapper close behind with 15
• Second half: Northeastern came out firing, coming all the way back to take a 15-14 lead before the Saints were able to tie the game to force overtime
• Overtime: In back-and-forth action, the Saints found themselves down 18-17 but a triple kill by Abyss brought the Saints back in the game to force a second overtime
• Overtime 2: MAwZ and Cookie shared the overtime hero spotlight as Cookie clutched three overtime rounds and MAwZ secured a game-winning 1v2 to give the Saints the 22-20 victory
• Sherrzzayy and Zapper each finished with 36 frags, MAwZ cleaned up with 31, and Cookie had 30 of his own including a fancy triple kill in the first half
Fortnite trio finishes 32nd in Week 3 of PlayVS
•The trio of Ciriuhs, Hoggy and JoMoJ finished 32nd out of 132 teams. Over seven matches, the team had three top-10 games and were the highest ranked Canadian team for the third week in a row
• The team averaged 4.5 eliminations, a placement of 13th and collected their highest point total to date with 125 points. Their best games were a 3rd place finish with 9 elims and a 5th place finish with 10 elims
• Overall, the team sits 23rd. The top 66 teams make the playoffs
Strong start to season in Tespa Squads
• Game 1: 2-1 comeback win over Florida State University
• Map 1(HP)): A bit of a rocky start for the Saints in their first match of the season as they go down in the first game 250-157 to FSU. Priestly had a team-high 31 frags
• Map 2 (SND): It didn’t take long for the Saints to bounce back as they take the Search and Destroy round 6-4 on Piccadilly. Lovell and Sauce each had 9 frags while Pressa and Priestly picked up 8
• Map 3 (DOM): Saints out control FSU from the start and are able to hold on for a 168-128 win. The Saints used great defends in a full-team effort. Corious and Priestly matched each other’s game-high 26 frags along with 6 and 7 defends respectively
• Game 2: 2-0 win over West Virginia University
• Map 1 (HP): While they struggled on Hardpoint in Azir Cave in the game before, the Saints wouldn’t let it happen again this time taking the first map 250-218. Priestly fragged out once again, dropping 31 with Sauce close behind with 29. Pressa contributed with 2 minutes of objective time and a game-high 4 defends
• Map 2 (SND): The Saints utilized an aggressive attack on Arklov Peak on route to a 6-4 win. Once again, it was Priestly stealing the show with 14 frags
Bounce-back week for the Saints as they go 2-1
• Game 1: Saints sweep Central Michigan University 3-0 (NACE)
• The Saints came out swinging against CMU Maroon as they were able to cruise to a 3-0 sweep in NACE competition.
• Game 2: University of North Texas take down Saints 2-0 (UCEA)
• Map 1 (Control): On Oasis, the Saints narrowly dropped Round 1. In Round 2, UNT was able to stop the Saints attack to take Map 1, 2-0.
• Map 2 (Payload): UNT continued their momentum into Dorado as they held the Saints payload push at bay handing the Saints a 1-0 loss
• Game 3: Saints bounce back with 3-0 win over Davenport University (NACE)
• Map 1 (Control): Saints were able to take the first two points of Lijiang Tower with ease to earn a 2-0 victory. Strong games came from CMoore, on D.Va, along with supports Apostle, on Lucio, and Yuhstin’s Moira
• Map 2 (Payload): Saints pulled up to Junkertown with defense on their mind as they stuffed Davenport’s attack. Strider picked off the competition on Hanzo with Yuhstin providing an offensive outburst on Zenyatta
• Map 3 (Hybrid): Davenport was able to claw their way back into Eichenwalde, pushing the game into overtime. Their luck didn’t last as the Saints were able to deny Davenport’s attack and went on to capture the point with ease to take the 4-3 map win. Yuhstin’s once again helped clean up with his Zenyatta while Strider’s Tracer was also strong, securing several clutch Pulse Bomb kills
Saints continue to surge, going 3-1 on the week
Game 1: 3-0 loss to Northwood University (UCEA)
• In one of their toughest tests to date, the Saints came up just short in a very close 3-0 loss to Northwood. The Saints made each game close, losing by only 1 goal in each game. Final scores were 5-4, 1-0, and 3-2
• Kamal, Fusion and Cuhriz each had 2 goals in the loss
Game 2: 3-0 win over St. Ambrose University (NACE) 11-0, 5-4, 4-0
•The Rocket League trio rebounded in a big way against St. Ambrose as they put together 11-0, 5-4 and 4-0 wins to earn the 3-0 sweep.
• Fusion lead the team with 9 goals, while Cuhriz picked up 7 and Kamal chipped in with 4
Game 3: 3-0 win vs. University of Central Missouri Esports (NACE)
•The momentum carried over to Game 2 of the NACE double header with another 3-0 sweep. This time the Saints picked up 6-2, 3-0 and 4-0 wins f 6 c 4 k 3
• Fusion potted 6, while Cuhriz had 4 and Kamal scored 3 goals.
Game 4: 3-2 reverse sweep win over Oakland University (UCEA) 1-2, 0-1, 2-0, 2-1,1-0
• The Saints were in a 2-0 hole earlier losing 2-1 and 1-0
• After battling back in Game 3 with a 2-0 win, it was Kamal who came up with the Game 4 winner after a beautiful play to juke out the defenders. The goal gave the Saints a 2-1 win forcing Game 5
• In Game 5, Fusion played the overtime hero scoring the game winner, giving the Saints the 1-0 win and the 3-2 reverse sweep of the series
•The Saints Rocket League team has record of 10-2 this season across PlayVS, UCEA and NACE and a total record of 23-6
Saints dropped 3-0 by University of Michigan (Tespa Varsity)
• Despite a few close games, the Saints were unable to find success with their Mage and Rogue decks. Michigan utilized their own Mage, Rogue and Paladin decks to hand the Saints the 3-0 loss, dropping the team to 1-2 in Tespa Varsity
• The Saints also had a Paladin deck of their own available while their Demon Hunter deck was banned
