Saints win first-ever Drury Esports League Invitational
Group Stage: The Saints found early success in the group stage with wins over Milligan, Northwood, Western Kentucky, Florida Stage and Purdue. Their only loss came to Shawnee state as they finished groups 5-1, earning the 3rd seed in the 8-team knockout stage
Group Stage Stats (6 games)
•Owen “Eul” Bains was named to the All-Tournament 1st Team following his domination in the mid lane
•Eul was tied for the most CS per minute with 8 and had the second highest Gold Per Minute with 437
•As a team, the Saints had the second-highest KDA with 4.2
•Quarter Finals: Facing off against Indiana Tech, the Saints utilized Trick’s Graves and Mianspho’s Leona to great effect in a 2-0 sweep
• Semi Finals: The Saints battled Northwood which took 3 games to decide the winner. Saints took game one before Northwood tied it to send the series to Game 3. Trick’s Graves went unbanned in all three games. Game 3 was dominated by Eul’s Syndra (9/0/7) which contributed 43% of the Saints damage in the game. Phrez’s Shen chipped in with 13 assists while 1azy’s Caitlyn went 8/2/3 with 30% of the team’s damage on route to the win
• Finals: The Saints met Illinois College in the finals and were handed one of their worst defeats of the tournament, losing Game 1 in 27 minutes with a team KDA of 10/24/15
•Game 2 was a quick turnaround, as the Saints stuck with their strengths and went on to crush Illinois to tie the series. Eul and 1azy each brought out new champs with Zoe (8/1/5) and Twitch (5/0/4)
•The Saints held nothing back in the winner take all match as they went on to dominated Game 3. It was a total team effort highlighted by Eul’s Lux (6/0/9) and 1azy’s Ashe (9/2/6). Trick’s Graves also came in clutch, winning several 1v1s against a split pushing Fiora to help secure the series and win the Drury Esports Invitational. Under-the-radar MVPs in the tournament were Mianspho’s Leona/Rakan and Phrez’s Ornn, each of which were key contributors to the Saints win

•Trick and Eul, with KDA’s over 6, were in the Top 3 for all players
•1azy’s 58 kills was the most while Eul had the second highest total with 49
•Mianspho had the most assists with 90 and the most wards placed with 324

2-0 loss to University of Toronto
Game 1: In OPSE, the Saints faced an extremely tough opponent in the University of Toronto. The Saints had lost the laning phase of Game 1 before making it close in the midgame and coming back with an ace. It wasn’t enough as U of T was able to close out the game
Game 2: After winning the early game thanks to the bottom lane’s Kalista (9/3/1) and Pantheon (2/6/11), the Saints couldn’t keep up with U of T and were out team fought in the mid game leading to a 2-0 loss
3-0 week lifts Saints to 2nd in UCEA
Game 1: 16-7 victory over Juniata Eagles on Train
•First Half: Saints take an early 7-0 lead before a timeout by Juniata. Following the pause the Eagles find their first round, ending the half down 10-5 to St. Clair
•Second Half: The Saints veterans continue to come in clutch on route to a 16-7 win. Sherrzzayy and Zapper end with 24 frags with Cookie close behind with 22
Game 2: Saints dominate Durham,16-3 on Vertigo
•First Half: Another dominant first half by the Saints on CT side as they enter the half up 13-2. Sherrzzayy and Zapper once again leading in frags with 23 and 20 respectively
•Second Half: Switching to the T side, the Saints only allow Durham to pick up one more round on route to the 16-3 win. Sherrzzayy ends the match with a game-high 28 frags
Game 3: Forfeit win vs University of Illinois - Chicago
Saints advance in CR6 Playoffs
Map 1: The Saints took on University of Texas at San Antonio in the Round of 32, single-elimination tournament. The Saints came out slow to start the game, losing the first map 7-5. The Saints were down 3-0 on Kafe, but came back to tie it as attackers before the half. However, the team couldn’t hold on as defenders. Kira lead the way with 10 frags
Map 2: The Saints flipped the table on Oregon. Heading into the half tied, 3-3, the Saints blew it wide open on attack side thanks to 14 frags from Rapid to secure the 7-4 win. A pivotal moment came with a clutch quad kill by Rapid with the bomb down that swung the momentum of the game
Map 3: The momentum from Map 2 carried over as the Saints dominated on route to a 7-1 win on Club House. Kira and BigPapa shut down UTSA with 10 and 9 frags between them. The win advances the Saints to the Round of 16 next week
Close game drops Saints to 2-1 in R6 Collegiate Championship
•The Saints lose a close game to Northern Arizona University, 2-1
Saints even record at 6-6 going 2-1 this week
Game 1: 3-0 sweep against Lourdes Academy (NACE)
• Map 1 (Control): Saints cruise to a dominant 2-0 win on Nepal. Bailable secured the win with a four-piece Reaper Ultimate
• Map 2 (Payload): Another 2-0 win lead by an aggressive attack by PrinceWadda on Winston with Strider on Tracer. On defense, backline Widow picks by Bailable and aggressive pushes from the frontline continued to keep Lourdes at bay on route to the victory
•Map 3 (Hybrid): The offensive onslaught continued on King’s Row as the Saints closed out the sweep with a 3-0 win
Game 2: 2-0 win over Saint Louis University (UCEA)
• Map 1(Control): Back-and-forth team fights see the point flipped several times. Strider utilized Symetra to great effect on the first point to help give Saints the lead. Saints went on to find their grove on the second point, again utilizing aggressive ultimate combos with CMoore and Strider combining for a D.Va bomb/EMP to secure the 2-0 win
•Map 2 (Payload): Saints start with strong defense, forcing staggered spawns on SLU on route to the full hold. A quick push on attack with a front lining Battle Mercy helped seal the win and the series for the Saints
Game 3: 3-1 loss to top-ranked Northwood University (NACE)
•Map 1 (Control): A back-and-forth battle across Nepal’s three points sees the Saints take a 2-1 win. Great zoning and picks by Bailable’s Torbjörn help the Saints secure the final point and the win
•Map 2 (Payload): Northwood fights back on Junkertown and they clean up a 3-0 win and tie the series
•Map 3 (Hybrid): Northwood secures the 3-0 on attack. Saints fight back with great plays by Strider’s Echo and a sneaking cart push behind enemy lines by Bailable to help send the game into overtime. With only 1 minute on the clock, Northwood was able to stuff St. Clair’s attack and win the game, 4-3
•Map 4 (Control): Despite an aggressive attack by the Saints, Northwood closes out the series with a 2-1 win on Volksaya
Trio continues hot streak with 5-1 week across 3 leagues
Game 1: Saints knock out Iowa Central, 3-0 in NACE. Scores were 6-1, 7-1 and 10-0
Game 2: A tough test for the Saints as they faced off against Northwood’s B team in NACE. It was a close match with the Saints securing the 3-0 sweep with scores of 2-0, 2-1 and 2-0
Game 3: In UCEA, the Saints took on Northwestern College A Team winning 3-1. Scores were 2-1, 1-2, 2-1 and 4-1
Game 4: Northwestern’s B team did not fair any better against the Saints as they were swept 3-0. Scores were 5-3, 8-0 and 6-3
Game 5: In PlayVS, the Saints pushed University of Oregon to the limit but were defeated in Game 5. The back-and-forth match saw scores of 2-0, 4-5, 2-0, 1-2 and 0-5
Game 6: Forfeit win vs. University of Arizona in PlayVS
Call of Duty Modern Warfare squad improves to 3-1 in Tespa
Game 1: 2-1 loss to Penn State University
• Hardpoint: Saints lose a close game 250-178. Priestly lead with 31 frags with CoriousNP had 1:39 min of objective time
• Search and Destroy: Down 3-0 early, the Saints battled back with 6-straight wins to take the game and tie the series. Priestly again lead the way for the Saints with 12 frags
•Domination: The Saints couldn’t complete the comeback as they fall 224-109 after a strong game by Penn State. Priestly topped the leaderboards again with 24 frags in the match and 67 across the three games. Pressa was the objective leader in the game with 5 captures and 2 defends
Game 2: 2-0 win over Kennesaw State University
•Hardpoint: The Saints came out guns blazing on Rammaza as Priestly picked up 33 and CoriousNP was right behind with 30. Priestly and Pressa each had over 1 min of objective time while Sauce had 1:44
•Search and Destroy: A very close game sees the Saints come out 6-4 to take the series. Sauce came out with a game-high 11 frags, CoriousNP picked up 10
Trio continues steady pace in PlayVS
•The trio of The trio of Ciriuhs, Hoggy and JoMoJ finished 25th out of 144 teams in Week 4 of PlayVS Collegiate
•The team averaged 5.5 eliminations, a placement of 9.6 and 23 points per match across 6 games
•Their best games include a 3rd place match with 9 eliminations and a 5th place game with 11 eliminations
•The team’s 25th place finish and 136 points are their highest totals to date
•The trio sit at 21st overall in the standings and are the highest-ranked Canadian team
