St. Clair Saints Esports Welcomes 59 New Recruits for the 2025–26 Season

St. Clair College’s nationally recognized Saints Esports program continues to build on its global reputation, announcing the recruitment of 59 new varsity student-athletes for the Fall 2025 season.

This year's class reflects both strong local engagement and continued international reach:

  • 38 recruits hail from the Windsor-Essex region, reinforcing the program’s deep roots in the local community.

  • 11 recruits come from across Ontario, including key cities like Toronto, Hamilton, London and Sarnia.

  • 4 students join from other Canadian provinces: Alberta, British Columbia (2), and Quebec.

  • Internationally, the Saints welcome recruits from India (4), Argentina (1), Brazil (1), United Kingdom (1), United States (1), South Korea (1), and France (1).

"We’re proud to continue offering one of the most diverse and competitive collegiate esports environments in North America," said Chris Funston, Saints Assistant Esports Director. “This year’s class brings a mix of high-level competitive experience, academic strength, and global perspectives that enrich our entire campus."

New this season, PUBG Mobile becomes the first mobile title in the Saints Esports lineup. Its addition expands the program into the mobile gaming space, creating new opportunities for student-athletes and reflecting the growing global popularity of mobile esports.

St. Clair Saints Esports continues to compete at the highest levels across multiple titles including VALORANT, Overwatch, League of Legends, Rocket League and Call of Duty, while also offering unique academic and industry-driven opportunities for students across media, business, and broadcasting.
