Saints Rocket League and Call of Duty teams go undefeated in NACE Regular Season

St. Clair’s Rocket League and Call of Duty teams have each wrapped up their National Association of Collegiate Esports (NACE) Starleague regular seasons with a perfect record.

The Saints competed in two NACE Rocket League divisions this fall season, going undefeated in both. The Saints Gold roster went 9-0 in the Canada East Varsity Division claiming victories over University of Windsor, University of Ottawa and McGill. In the Challengers Division, the Saints Green trio went 6-0 to claim the top seed in the Northeast Conference heading into playoffs.

In Call of Duty, the Saints roster dominated the Northeast Varsity Division going 9-0 without dropping a single map throughout the season. This included notable wins over Ryerson and Carleton.

Throughout their dominant NACE Starleague seasons, the Rocket League and Call of Duty teams have remained at, or near, the top of many coaches polls and power rankings. Both teams have qualified for the North American Championship Playoffs, but still have Conference Finals to look forward to this weekend which will determine seeding.

“They’ve each had phenomenal regular seasons, but we’re ready to turn it up come playoff time and prove we belong at the top of those rankings,” said Assistant Esports Director Chris Funston. “Conference Finals is one goal, but the Championship is another. Each of our teams have their eyes on the prize, and the hardware that comes with it.”

NACE Starleague Conference Finals start this Sunday at 11 a.m. on twitch.tv/saintsgamingca with both the Rocket League and Call of Duty teams in action. First up, the Rocket League team will take on the Ryerson Rams in the Canada East Conference finals, followed by the Call of Duty team facing off against Utica College in the Northeast Conference finals at noon.
