Saints add World Championship experience with European signings
St. Clair College Esports is thrilled to announce the signing of five European transfer recruits set to join the program’s Varsity Rocket League roster.
Italy’s Luca Paparatti and Tommas Battistoni, transferring from University of Genoa, join St. Clair fresh off of winning the UniRocketeers Collegiate World Championship this past weekend. Paparatti will join the program as an in-game coach and analyst while Battistoni will slot into the Varsity roster providing a wealth of experience at both the collegiate and pro levels.
Fabian Buß, of Germany and Nicolas Steinhauser, of Austria, will also provide the Saints with World Championship experience as they were crowned the 2023 Collegiate Rocket League World Champions as part of Dr. Buhmann Akademie, located in Hanover, Germany.
James Janzen, of Germany, will also join the Saints and has prior chemistry with both Buß and Steinhauser from their time competing in Europe’s semi-pro scene together.
All 5 of the players will be enrolling into the Esports Administration & Entrepreneurship Program.
